When Samantha and Ryan were 15 years old, their journey together began. Eight years later, they were walking through Alderman’s Ford Regional Park talking about that journey. As Samantha said, “We started talking about our lives together. We got to a bridge over the water and Ryan wanted to stop and take a picture. We took a picture and when I turned around he was down on one knee.” The journey down the aisle to become Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Howard was about to begin.
When looking for a venue, Samantha and Ryan wanted somewhere close to their hometown of Plant City. They found the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch and it was the perfect fit! It could accommodate the number of guests and the scenery was breathtaking. Samantha said, “It was beautiful inside and out. We loved how the ceremony could be in the garden outside and the reception could be in the ballroom inside.“
Samantha and Ryan described their theme as romantic, intimate, and elegant. For their ceremony, they went with an elegant garden theme. To bring the elegance and romance into their garden ceremony, they had fresh flowers complemented by stunning white decor. For the reception, they wanted to give the ballroom a romantic, golden touch. They had a gold bar, gold photo booth and gold chairs that made the room sparkle.
For their menu selection, Samantha and Ryan both agreed, “Food was very important to us.” They wanted to do something different and interactive and Puff ’n Stuff Catering was able to make that happen for Samantha and Ryan. They decided to do four, one-of-a-kind food stations. These stations included Create Your Own Salad, Caprese Chicken Tower, Gourmet Mashed Potato Bar and a Chimichurri Flank Steak Station. The food did not stop there. They also had a Blazing Donut Station for dessert and French Fries for a late night snack. They said, “We wanted to make sure we had a good selection of foods that everyone could enjoy and we wanted the presentation of the foods to be synonymous with our theme as well.”
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Samantha and Ryan have some great advice for other Tampa Bay couples. The first, “Don’t sweat the small stuff. Make sure to enjoy the entire day and soak up all the fun.” The second “Hire a wedding planner. We both agreed that this was the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process.”
Samantha and Ryan’s wedding truly graced their theme of romantic, intimate, elegance that their guests greatly enjoyed. However, the couple had a moment that stood out from all the rest. As Samantha said, “Our most memorable moment would be when we saw each other for the first time. When I walked down the aisle towards Ryan, we both agreed that it felt like the whole world stopped. We were so focused on each other. We don’t even remember hearing the music in the background or seeing any of the people around. We were in the garden with about two hundred people, but it felt like it was just us two. It was a moment we had waited for forever, and it was everything we imagined it to be. “
Congratulations Samantha and Ryan Howard!
