Once upon a time, there was a lovely princess named Brittany who was destined to marry her prince, Andy. On the day of Brittany’s birthday, Andy had a big surprise planned. First they went to their favorite sushi restaurant. Sometime after they got home, it was time for cake. Brittany turned off the lights and Andy sang happy birthday. As soon as Brittany turned around to turn the lights on, Andy was on one knee with the royal ring in his hand. The Prince and Princess were about to plan the wedding of a literary lifetime at the Palmetto Club.
When looking for the perfect venue, Brittany and Andy were looking for a location that had an outdoor option for the ceremony and indoors for the reception. “We really like the beautiful garden area at the Palmetto Club, and the inside was gorgeous as well,” Brittany said. The Palmetto Club just fit perfectly!
Brittany is a high school English teacher and Andy is an engineer, who loves to read. With Brittany and Andy’s love for reading and books, they decided to have a literary-themed wedding. “When we first started dating, one of the things that made me fall for him was that, after I told him what a huge Harry Potter nerd I was, he immediately started reading the books.” Brittany said.
As Brittany said, “Your wedding is the happiest day ever.” With their literary theme, they decided to go with bright, happy colors. Their bright colors of coral, teal, yellow, and light pink fit perfectly with their décor and accentuated so well with the blues of the Palmetto Club. The best part of all the decorations was the handmade literary center pieces made by the bride herself.
Brittany and Andy love brunch and they wanted to include that in their wedding. Puff ‘n Stuff Catering, the exclusive caterer to the Palmetto Club, put together a divine menu. “The menu we received from Puff ‘n Stuff Catering looked phenomenal and the tasting definitely made it a challenge to narrow down our selection. We ended up with some very fancy (and amazing) French toast along with some other breakfast-style selections,” Brittany said. Puff ‘n Stuff Catering put together a brunch menu that included Egg Nog and Brioche French Toast, Baby Greens and Berry Salad, Morning Strudel, Crisp Applewood Smoked Bacon, Tropical Fruit Martini. Bon appetit!
Brittany said the most memorable moment was the ceremony. “I was so excited. My walk down the aisle was long, and when I saw Andy his jaw dropped. It was perfect.”
And Brittany and Andy lived happily ever after.
